An Interview with Seb Schmoller

Hi everyone! Today's selection is an interview by Matt Pasiewicz from Educause. In the podcast, he speaks with Seb Schmoller - Seb is the Executive Secretary of the Association for Learning Technology (ALT) in the UK.

In this podcast, Seb describe the new Certified Membership in ALT (or CMALT) scheme, which is to certify members as qualified learning technologists. This looks like an important step forward for the profession - and for e-learning. See:

Dear Dr Burks,
I feel that this new certification scheme is similar to Brainbench .Do you consider that employers are looking for an advanced certification or are they looking for a work experience. Do you think that having multiple certifications would create a win win situation in the job market? I feel that job market demands work exprience and has a less stress on certification. I have taken 6 Brainbench certifications and two sun certifications but the questions that I face in Interview are completely job role oriented

Please share your Ideas
